Who would you trust more to carry out work in your home; a)Polish builders b)British or c)Indian Builders?

This question is based on how you feel about letting people in to your home and putting your trust in them. I am English married to Polish and work with Polish Builders. What I want to know is, do we discriminate against people on a sub-concious level? Do people really chose a builder just because he/she is cheaper, or is it how they come across to you, first impressions, race? or is it just as it should be, choosing the most experienced and capable person/team for the job? let me know as it may help me gain new contracts I otherwise might miss out on. We base our reputation first on being trustworthy. and then the quality of our work. thanks

I base my opinions on recommendation and proof of work carried out previously and the price given. I don't give a flying hoot what a nationality a person is as long as they do the job, well, on time and on budget!
Reply:i would look into certification of each builder, and then i would try to contact several people who have used each builder and see what they say about the company. i would choose the builders with the best customer satisfaction and the certification to do the work i need done. i don't base my decisions on the cultural background of the people i plan to do business with.
Reply:I've heard that Polish builders are really good and do really quality work, so I guess I'd have to look more at the companies rep than the ethnic background of the workers.
Reply:I've had Indian builders before...would NEVER trust Indian builders again out of experience...these days I'd rather employ Polish builders though.

Reply:Whats the matter with British, give them the work and we wouldn't need to keep importing foreign workers.

Reply:the English can't build... I'd hire an itallian, greek or Ploish guy... over an English man any day.... ; ) u asked.
Reply:I would be looking for most experience person either have been recommended to me by a friend or working for a well known firm, I would chose a British builder myself for a simple reason the British guy know from where to get his good material at the best price, he know the right places to go to unlike any other nationality which they know very little about the country let alone from where to get the best deal when it come to baying the material used for the job.


People with tight budget tend to go for the cheapest quote not matter who is doing the job, I hope I'm not upsetting anyone here.
